Apple Store Refund

For those who didn't know, the US Apple Store has the following policy (here under "Prices") on price drops:
"Should Apple reduce its price on any shipped product within 10 calendar days of shipment, you may contact Apple Sales Support at 1-800-676-2775 to request a refund or credit of the difference between the price you were charged and the current selling price.  To receive the refund or credit you must contact Apple within 14 business days of shipment."

Sadly I couldn't find a regulation like this in the german policy.

I tried to get this refund 1,5 years ago in germany. It may be that this policy changed since then, butApple informed me that this regulation is only for the american AppleStore...

You already know it, but I just wanted to add that thanks to the "Fernabsatzgesetz" (send back stuff til 14 days after purchase) effectively you get a comparable policy. It's a bit more hassle if you actually have to send it back, but I guess the Apple Store might want to give you a credit instead...

Should be an official policy though.

Hi!

Heise.de had a news-headline a few days ago about the possibility to get a credit if you bought Apple hardware between 14.12.04 and 03.01.05.

And when you follow the link in the article you'll find a special Apple refund website, which has infos for german customers, so I think also german's can get some money back ...
